Skills Training Centre is an accredited LANTRA centre, which means we’re approved to deliver LANTRA courses to our delegates.

LANTRA is also one of the UK’s leading awarding bodies for training in the land-based industries. They’ve been dedicated to enhancing the land-based workforce for over 40 years, developing both quality training and nationally-recognised qualifications. These training courses and qualifications are delivered by a carefully selected network of approved training partners, of which Skills training Centre is one.

LANTRA works closely with industry bodies, governments and educators to provide quality training, career guidance and partnership opportunities, giving employers and learners the skills they need to work safely and productively.

We have been a LANTRA approved centre for over 10 years and an approved National Highways Sector Schemes (NHSS) Centre since 2015. To secure this approval, we underwent an audit providing evidence that we had the facilities and expertise to deliver the training to the required standard. We maintain our status by undergoing an annual audit, allowing LANTRA to ensure that we continue to operate in line with their high standards.

Highway Inspection
Highway Inspection is an area we specialise in. We provide nationwide coverage for these courses and can deliver the training and any required assessments at your site, in line with your business needs.

Sector Scheme
National Highways Sector Schemes are quality management schemes designed to ensure that the installation of traffic management is undertaken to industry and nationally recognised standards. They enable you to ensure that you have a properly trained and competent workforce.

Grounds Maintenance

We offer a range of courses associated with grounds maintenance, with most of these being targeted at operational staff, providing relevant practical training that will improve the skills of those attending. For some courses, we can provide the venue and equipment as a scheduled course, others will be undertaken as a company-sponsored option at your premises, using your equipment.

Winter Service

The LANTRA scheme ensures that operators of winter service vehicles have knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety and related legislation and that drivers of winter service vehicles receive the necessary training and assessment on the vehicles they use.
