Training
Health and Safety within the water jetting industry is of paramount importance. Trained staff will have a greater awareness and appreciation of safe working practices with high pressure water jetting. Councils, insurance companies, water utilities and major contractors all demand that staff have the correct training and hold valid Certificates.
A number of training courses are available, starting with the Safety Awareness Certificate. Candidates who only hold the Safety Awareness module will receive cards that say "Non-operational". Candidates holding both the Safety Awareness and one or more practical modules will receive cards that say "Operational".
The certification lasts for three (3) years. The renewal period begins three months before the expiry date with a grace period of three months after the expiry date. During this 6 month period, in order to renew your certification, candidates will need to attend a 1-day refresher course which will consist of a Safety Awareness recap and one practical module in full.
After the 3 month grace period, if a refresher course has not been done, the candidate will lose their modules and will be considered as a new trainee and therefore would need to complete the full Safety Awareness course and practical module.
Please note that the 1-day refresher option is most suited to those people who are regular users of high pressure water Jetting Equipment. If you have not been regularly operating HPWJ equipment then please contact us to discuss the options available using the form at the bottom of the page.
