We offer both the National Plant Operators (NPORS) and the Equipment Operators Registration Scheme (EORS) for a wide range of plant and equipment.
NPORS is one of the leading national accreditation and registration bodies in the country to train, test and certificate operators of Plant and Equipment. NPORS have a robust quality assurance system that regularly audits its training providers.
The NPORS scheme is divided into the following course areas:
Accessing Equipment, Transportation, Health & Safety Related, Small Equipment, Lift Truck, Earthmoving Machinery, Street Works and Cranes.
EORS is designed to provide a flexible way for plant operators to have their ability confirmed via a Health & Safety test and a practical assessment involving the safe use of the relevant plant and machinery. The Equipment Operators Registration Scheme is recognised by the Highways Agency and Local Authorities.
The scheme is aimed at those who are using plant on a regular or adhoc basis, who are working for Local Authorities; Local Authority Contractors; Highway Contractors; Highways Agency or other similar organisations.
EORS is not intended for those who are required to work on sites that are operated by the Major Contractors Group. These sites have a mandatory requirement for plant operators to hold a CITB CPCS Card.
Practical Training & Assessment
Skills Training Centre staff deliver all training and assessments on your site using your own plant/equipment. We provide you with a document that details the required facilities and documentation necessary to comply with the scheme requirements for each category of plant.
On successful completion of the assessment process, candidates are issued with an NPORS/EORS License which contains their photograph and a list of the plant categories they are licenced to operate. The Licences are valid for a period of 3-5 years. Plant & Machinery Brochure
