We’re an Accredited Centre for Water Jetting
Skills Training Centre has recently become an Accredited Centre for Water Jetting. This means that we are accredited by the Water Jetting Association, the UK’s largest provider of water jetting training in the UK.
The WJA is a trade association representing contractors, manufacturers, hirers and other organisations that have a professional and commercial interest in high-pressure water jetting.
They support the highest safety and technical standards for all forms of water jetting, including ultra-high-pressure water jetting, high pressure water jetting, pressure washing, and drain and sewer cleaning.
The WJA has developed two detailed Codes of Practice – the ‘Blue Code’ for high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure water jetting, and the ‘Red Code’ for use of water jetting in drains and sewers.
These Codes of Practice set important industry standards for high-pressure water jetting in the UK and internationally. They have been developed, and are regularly updated, with support from the UK’s Health and Safety Executive.
All WJA-approved courses are accredited by City & Guilds and set the industry standard for high-pressure water jetting training. STC’s High Pressure Water Jetting courses are run in accordance with the WJA’s Code of Practice and are approved by them also.
Course content is regularly updated to accommodate technological advances and changes to safety and regulatory requirements, so employers can rest assured that the training their staff receive will always be current and to the highest standard.
Now that we hold accredited status, we will undergo regular audits and reviews to ensure we continue to maintain the high standards that are required under this awarding body.

High Pressure Water Jetting: Health & Safety Awareness - 1 day
Upcoming courses: 26/06/23 or 14/09/23
This is an entry-level, classroom-based course designed for those required to use High Pressure Water Jetting equipment as part of their job. It covers a range of health and safety and operational topics including surface preparation, types of nozzle, jetting equipment, hazards, operational procedures and codes of practice.
High Pressure Water Jetting: Health & Safety Awareness and Drain & Sewer Cleaning - 2 days
Upcoming courses: 26/06/23 or 14/09/23
This course is aimed at those required to use High Pressure Water Jetting equipment and specifically for the purpose of Drain and Sewer Cleaning. It is particularly useful to those in a supervisory role. Topics include the same as the above 1-day course, plus drain and sewer cleaning topics including applications and machines, jetting equipment and job assessment.
