STC to attend 2023 Centre Quality Event

STC is set to attend a Centre Quality Event being hosted by City & Guilds Land Based Services next month. The event will see the C&G Quality Team sharing details of their updated Quality Assurance model, ahead of a roll out later this year…

Skills Training Centre is set to attend the 2023 Centre Quality Event being hosted by City & Guilds Land Based Services at their Wakefield Office on 4 April.

The event is one of six gatherings being hosted by the City & Guilds Quality Team throughout March and April. The purpose of the event is for the C&G Quality Team to share details of their updated Quality Assurance model with all of their CoC Centres.

Being a City & Guilds CoC - or Certificate of Competence - Centre means the establishment is approved to deliver the range of City & Guilds Land Based courses to a high standard. We have held CoC Centre Status since 2019.

Event attendance is mandatory to all CoC Centres and the events are taking place in various locations in England and Wales so that each Centre can attend the one most convenient for them. Locations being offered include Leicestershire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Powys and Yorkshire.

The new Quality Assurance model will be rolled out to all CoC Centres later this year, so these events are the ideal opportunity for Centres to find out all they can to ensure a smooth transition. Skills Training Centre’s Sales & Quality Manager, Yvonne Beddow, will be attending the event.

Why is this event important?

Our partnership with City & Guilds is a strong one and we want to do all we can to maintain this by ensuring that our delivery is of the highest possible standard both now and in the future as changes are introduced.

Rolling out a new Quality Assurance model is C&G’s way of ensuring that the delivery of their courses is meeting their own high standards, regardless of where they are being delivered. Setting out details of what is expected from CoC Centres is a great way to ensure each and every delivery team knows what is expected of them and has methods in place to ensure these are achieved.

Our values

Two of our core values revolve around quality assurance and customer satisfaction; two things that could be impacted if we weren’t fully successful in embedding the new Quality Assurance model.

  • Authenticity
We aim to exceed expectations for both customers and each other. We give maximum effort from beginning to end.

  • Customer Satisfaction
We aim to provide exceptional customer service and act in the best interest of the customer at all times.

These values underpin our desire to attend this event and ensure that our quality of delivery meets, if not exceeds, what is required. Our entire team goes above and beyond to ensure that the training we provide is of the highest quality, which enables delegates to achieve their potential, pass assessment and come away at the end of their experience completely satisfied with the service they’ve received.
