Skills Training Centre Coaching Day - June 2022
Thursday 30th June 2022, Stephens House & Gardens, Finchley, London
On Thursday 30th June 2022, Skills Training Centre hosted their second 2-day coaching session. It was another great opportunity for the team to share their ideas to shape the business's direction moving forward.
The coaching day was again held at Stephens House & Gardens, Finchley, London and was facilitated by Lisa and Isabelle from Beacon Coaching. Beacon Coaching, who specialise in career, personal and family coaching, provide sessions to guide you through change with clarity, purpose, growth and fulfilment.
What was the purpose of the workshop?
The training day's focus was to enable an active discussion, collaborate on where the company is heading and the methods of how we aim to get there. Throughout the coaching day, we reviewed working practices, shared values and behaviours that can help or hinder us from being a successful company. We also discussed how we can continue to provide a high level of service and professionalism to all of our customers.
The workshop included:
-
A recap of the first workshop and feedback.
-
‘Rules of engagement’ – getting the most out of the day.
-
Consider ‘what has changed’.
-
Becoming a learning organisation.
-
Hidden talents – strengths exercise.
-
Relationships and communication.
-
Using coaching skills to improve performance.
-
Recap and Action Planning – a commitment to actions, meetings, timescales, people and resources.
-
Reflection and feedback survey.
Our newly promoted Post-Course Supervisor said, “I really enjoyed the positive affirmation activity where we went around the room and said all the attributes we love about each other – I think this gave everyone a confidence boost and highlighted that everyone is needed to make the company work.”
