Who should attend?
For those staff engaged in the actual signing of Sites & Roadworks.
Course aim
On completion of the course members will have sufficient knowledge of Street Works Code of Practice to safely sign & guard basic site layouts.
Learning objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:-
- Design safe basic sight layouts
- Select the correct signs & equipment & layout site
- Safely remove signs & equipment

- Introduction
- The legal requirements
- Safety at Street Works and Road Works - A Code of Practice
- Basic Layouts (Theory)
- Layouts of sites including selection of signs and equipment
- Layouts for temporary footways
- Removals of signs and opening of footways and carriageways
- Risk Assessment
