Who should attend?
All experienced users of Brushcutters and trimmers.
Course aim
To provide candidates with sufficient knowledge for them to be able to achieve the Lantra Integrated Training and Assessment certificate.
Course content
- Know how to carry out a risk assessment
- Understand the Health and Safety legislation that underpins trimmer and brushcutter operations
- Know what the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is for trimmer and brushcutter operations
- Know the health and safety features of the equipment being used
- How to maintain the trimmer/brushcutter
- Safely operate a trimmer/brushcutter
- Understand different operating techniques
- How to store equipment safely and appropriately
