Who should attend?
An essential one day course for those who are responsible for routine maintenance work as part of their job.
Course aim
To provide delegates with skills to safely carry out routine repairs to toilets, sinks, basins etc
Learning objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:-
- Undertake simple repairs to pipes and fittings
- Change washers
- Understand how discharge system works
- Understand how an indirect water system works
Course content
- Safety
- Unblock sink, toilet, urinals etc.
- Replace tap washers
- Emergency action to stop flooding
- Check and adjust ball valves in cisterns
- Replace float and arm in water storage tanks
- Secure and make safe toilets seats
- Replace toilets chains
- Clean out shower heads
- Clean out gutters and down pipes
