WHO SHOULD ATTEND

An essential half-day course for those who are responsible for routine maintenance work as part of their job.

 

AIM

To provide delegates with skills to safely carry out routine repairs to small single glazed panes of glass.

 

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the programme delegates will:-

  • Be aware of PPE & tools required for glazing.

  • Be aware of different methods of replacing old/broken glass in wooden & metal frames.

  • Understand how to measure pieces of glass.

    • Safety & Equipment

      • PPE ( Goggles and Gloves)

      • Tools (Hacking Knife, Putty Knife, Glazing Pliers, White Spirit etc.)

    • Removing old/broken glass

    • Measuring Glass

    • Preparing frames for new glass

    • Replacing Glass in frames
